It happens and who cares When I 1st signed up for FC.Net You guys already had pics of my car sitting at DaSilva Racing and knew that I blew the motor and my whole life story lol.

I'd care if I was that guy. Posting pics of your FORD FOCUS going down a track/sitting at a shop is much different than posting pics of this guys really rare car in his home driveway.

There has already been 1 guy on fc.net who got his s*** stolen due to a similar fashion.

did someone delete or mod a post I don't see (or maybe im blind) where it says it was in the owners driveway. If that is the case then that is a bit different.

p.s. You might as well go to GTAN.ca and tell them to delete their thread as well since they are more local site/club.

No plates have been shown. If anything that is why I always tell you guys to block you plates. I have an unpleasent story where one mod on subaru site (you think Meford was bad when he was a mod? Wait till you meet Chris_G) who doesn't like me, found one of the photos of my car where plates were shown. Long story short he's in the military and has access to police/military database where he can punch in your plates and get your full info.
He sent me my :
full name
date of birth
address
plates and cars that i own

He sad he'll come see me after he's back from Afganistan....So i'm still waiting for him to show up.
Might contact military office and report the idiot.
Good thing my friend is in the military so he already got me his full info yestarday just in case :)

wow... you guys are nuts. how in the hell is some1 honestly going to find this car from this picture? its no different then posting up a picture you found on google. there are no plates, no street adress, no house number no nothing!

the adress has never been posted up, nor has the guys name or anything. the fact that somebody sees this car in a picture or hear from a friend over the phone that theres an escort cosworth in guelph makes no difference, because if somebody wants to find one, they will find a way to find one.

Okay here's the thing, as long as the plates aren't shown, a casual thief isn't likely to bother, too much work.

A pro doesn't need plates, if a pro wants your car, once its out in the open and on the road, it's as good as gone once they do their thing.

Only here on FC.net could a picture of a rare car, parked in plain view where anyone can see it, cause so much drama. If the owner was that concerned about theft wouldn't he keep it in a garage somewhere?

beat him 2 it... i snapped 2 on my phone last night. its LHD to fyi. very nice looking car, i didnt think they were so small in person tho. now that i think of it, ive driven by this car a handful of times and never end taken a notice to it. weird...

I don't care if people take pics of my turbo car. Hell I think most people don't care too much as it is a sleeper (and I like it that way).

If I did have a car that was a little more for eye candy, I would consider it the same situation as a girlfriend. Look ok, but touch and get a beating.

Only reason why I still have the barely 100hp focus is not to have the turbo one get slammed by other crappy drivers during the winter.

Yeah I thought it was gonna be a little bigger too for some reason.

if we are going 2 start a match about taking pictures of peoples cars and putting them on the internet, how many people go to car shows? and how many of you give permission for people 2 take pics of your cars? and how many end up on the internet? he placed his car in his driveway instead of his garage for all 2 see, if some1 took a picture, that picture is the rights on the person taking it. if he didnt want somebody 2 see the car, admire it and share it with other ppl then he wud have stored away for no1 to see.

way i look at it, look at pics, admire car, maybe drive by to see if its legit and if owners outside, shoot the s*** with him about cars and have a nice life. if your low enuff 2 try and jack the car, then u dont deserve the car or to be on a car enthusiast website.
