Goes to show it can happen anytime to anyone. Damn those boyz rocked hard.
"More than a feeling" is genious and so timely in my life as it happens.
What I liked most was that there was such deep pasion and emotion but he was also scientific and logical too, sort of like me.
From what I understand he was a MIT grad, helped/invented the Polaroid film process and the debut albumn was recorded as a demo in the basement studio he built himself and went straight to #1 uncut.
Respect
(55 BTW, my money is on stress though I do not know what kind)
R.I.P.
An incredible band.
:( I'd have to say "Peace of Mind" is probably one of the best songs I've heard ever.
I beleive the MIT grad was Tom Schulz, the lead guitarist. I've read quite a bit about Boston. Most of the articles revolve around Tom and how much of a genius he is.
All the same a great story, great voice and maybe it is just the words I relate to.
Regardless, an important band. Nobody will post anything 30 odd years later about anything I heard on the radio today.

You got that right.
I have the L.P. as well.
Now if I could only locate my turntable.
Wow. Just 2 hours ago the story dropped.

Boston Lead Singer Dead at 55
Last Update: Mar 9, 2007 7:14 PM
By Tarah Oliver
New Hampshire authorities are investigating the death of Boston lead singer Bradley Delp, who was found dead in his home at the age of 55.
WGIR is reporting that police responded to Delp's residence in the small town of Atkinson for a reported untimely death.
Investigators said Delp was apparently alone at the time of his death, but found no indication of foul play.
Boston had a number of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," and "Foreplay/Long Time."
When not working with Boston, Delp played in a Beatles cover band called Beatlejuice.
Boston was going to rehearse throughout May, then set out on a big tour in June. Delp was also planning to get married to longtime girlfriend Pamela Sullivan this summer.
The only thing that kills anyone of that age is stress, I am so convinced of that.
Great Band. He will be missed.
No tour I guess.
Grew up with this band. Incredible music. I never hated 1 song they wrote.
RIP

They weren't a band of my youth, but everything else said here is how I feel ... the band was so strong in all areas - music, lyrics, production - couldn't help but like it.
He was only 55 and getting ready to get married - way too young to go. RIP.
Turns out it was suicide.

when they 1st announced it, and they said he was found alone, I knew it was suicide. Why do rockstarts pick this way out?
