I'm currently running 205-40-17 but I want to go to 205-45-17's.
It looks a little too lean with 40 series... Then again mine are toasted.

This is what I'm trying this year ( with a pro-kit ) , same size as last year but different brand..

I'm using 205/45s on 17s and they work great and are almost exactly the same diameter as the stock 195/60-15s. Also, the weight rating on the 45s is higher than most 40s which is important to me with a wagon.

I painted those wheels in the pic to, in fact I used the same color on the stockers. Those are 17" Monza Team Dynamics.
2 of em were bent pretty bad so I traded for the ones I have now. I know my car is stored, but I actually do drive my car everyday in the summer, whether its going camping or moving...lol. 17", 40 pro tires, and being lowered 2" was a rough ride. now im running azenis 55 profile, on a small 15" and the ride is so much better. Better overall performance also.
EDIT: 15" Is also cheaper on the wallet :P

are they similar to euro SVT rims?
how did u manage to bend 2? hit the curb with one side?

It was more like several bends in each rim. They didnt seem to like the quebec cottage roads to much. No worries now, much more rubber to absorb those holes now. ;)
The car is lowered 2" in the back, and 1.5" in the front.

Instead of starting yet another tire thread I'll just continue in this one. I have the sportline drop on my sedan and I just picked up a set of 17" rims now I want to know if anyone here has the same drop and 215/45/17 tires and if they get any rubbing issues. The rims are also +45mm offset and I think are 7" wide?
thanks!
