Hey, looking for a bass guitar. It'll be a first instrument for one of my kids.
I figure one of you might have picked one up and abandoned it.
This is what I'm looking for:
1) A decent make: there are a bazillion Chinese and Indonesian knock-offs, not looking for a Costco special. I'm looking for an Ibanez, Washburn, Fender or similar.
2) I need it to be in decent shape. If it needs new strings, no biggie. Big chips and gouges I'd like to avoid.
3) Looking for something sub-$200. I'm actively searching on eBay, I can get a new Washburn-Lyon for $80 plus shipping. So that's what I'm starting at. The offered price will depend on its shape and what's offered in the package.
Not looking to screw anyone over, or lowball anyone. Just seeing what's out there.
This might be a chance for someone to unload a paper weight and get some cash. Christmas is coming.
