For those of you suggesting lowering and tint.....
KYB shocks and struts and lowering springs are in the mail. Going to drop the front 1.5 and the rear just a hair more.
I've been thinking about tint. I'm currently thinking as dark as possible on the two rear windows on each side. Nothing on the front cockpit sides. Haven't decided about the hatchback glass yet. I'm kinda liking the idea of it looking like a small panel wagon.
As for keeping the design clean....yes I agree. But when I'm done we might have different ideas about what is clean.
The front headlights will be replaced with units that include turn signals and are black (haven't found what I want yet - suggestions appreciated - I've seen some on Ebay but I'm a little worried about quality and fit) and then the front grill will be replaced to exclude the turn signals. I'll replace the lower grill and eliminate the fog lights.
All of that should be done within the next 30 days. Then next spring it gets new paint. Black with grayish silver racing stripes down the middle.
And sometime between now and spring I'll do some things for the interior. Haven't really thought that out yet other than fabricating a permanent mount for the navigation system and splicing the power in behind the dash.
Suggestions and comments are always appreciated. Thanks again to everybody here for the help.

Here is an example of maybe what you are looking for:
98-01 euro upper grill (excludes NA turn signal)
98-01 euro lower grill (meshed in with the NA fog lights)
The headlights look like the euro ST170 headlights (with the interiors painted a dark grey colour) but these are one of kind euro 02+ headlights painted black.

uness of course you're going with the svt front, then dont buy the lower grille.

Tint is so 90s..., Without tint You always have to keep the inside clean.
Be very Picky about Headlights... Only some Ebay lights are OK, But a Set of St170s Would Look best.
Looks very clean, Dont screw that up, Please remember, NO RICE.
The MBRP Is the Best bang for your buck, I paired it up with a OBX Shorty and Downpipe... Great gains... VERY VERY loud.

That is exactly what I am looking for with the exception that I want to dump the fog lights as well. Can you tell me the source for the parts?
And Thanks!

And forgive a dumb question. I understand that Rice refers to Asian imports, but how would you Rice a Focus?

Batinc or european-parts.net are good sources for euro conversion parts.

And how much reception do you sacrifice with a shorter, and I admit better looking, antenna.
Thanks,

I used to race R/C and you are right, it does remind me of that. But I am not sure I want to sacrifice reception, kind of out of town here. And I'd never take it through a car wash. But going to have to see a Mazda 3.
Thanks for the help.
