Its nice , but i really care not for the front end redsign of the new focus series. However this cars got some decent parts on it , 320mm brakes with quad piston calipers are very nice, turbo is always fun too .

Having said that , my heart still belongs to the good ol blue RS focus, i love the interior , however , in an ideal world , id put this engine and drive train in to the older RS focus and then we would have a car ... all wheel drive simply kicks major a$$
The reason they don't bring that here is that it would cost 40K and no one would buy it. Look what happened with the SVTF. It was a rebadged ST170. They couldn't sell them and everyone complained they were too expensive. The majority of the buying public in NA don't want that type of car.

now after a couple years after....they dropped in price so everyone is after them ;)
Why can't the bring that Focus here, I'll buy that!!!!!
car and driver .com is showing off this thing in their spied shots too, but I'm suprised with that RS that it comes with DRL's as the photos show just the headlights on and nothing else. I too would buy one, and and there is an article on motortrend.com that tells your to go to your local ford dealer and order a focus cabrio.
Like bluetoy said. The buying public had their chance. If you want a performance focus, buy the mazda/volvo equivalents.

They won't bring it here because it'll compete too much with the almighty Mustang GT. Hello, I don't want a car with a V8, I want a performance minded car car with a 4 cylinder that can still get decent mileage.

I remember asking the owner of a local ford dealer why they won't bring out the diesel engine in cars over here, he said it's 2 fold, 1, there's no market for it. OK, why do I see hundreds of TDI VW's and Audi's on the road? 2, he says ford believes the diesel engine in cars would take away from their truck market :iono: me thinks they had a brain fart there, people aren't buying diesel pickups for great fuel economy, they're buying to haul s*** around, not gonna see a tdi focus pulling a 5th wheel are we...
Oh yeah, btw, I forgot to say, that RS is freakin sweet, sign this mofo up  :D
if they ever did bring RS down here....how much do you think it would cost in CAD $?

which will still leave STI behind
From what I keep hearing about my buddy's STi, they make extra power like mad with no real effort. He's been resisting the urge so far (only has a new exhaust, not sure if it makes that much more power than stock), but I have a feeling he won't make it to May.

I'd drive either, really.
Guys

Have seen these pics on FJ.
It could be a C2 platform development car and is not necessarily the next incarnation of the RS. Anyone notice what could be a TDCi badge above the ST badge ? Anyone want to bet it could be a ST TDCi mule ? They did it with the Mondeo, so why not the Focus.
