Kelly calls me on her way home saying green stuff is coming from the bottom of her car and she is concerned. So I told her to watch the temperature gauge and just come home.
Once she got home after paying close attention to the leak I found it was coming from the thermostat housing. (Cheap plastic crap). Took the battery housing out, took the air box out and took the thermostat housing apart. Indeed there was a broken piece that caused the leak. This is around 6:40pm now. Called Ford and they had one is stock.
Usually ford doesnââ¬â¢t carry anything in the shop. Everything has to be ordered and will take couple of days. I guess I was lucky. So made it to the dealership 5 minutes before closing bought the part and paid $57 for the housing. And came home installed the thermostat. Job done, no more leaks and only cost me $57. Now if I drove an import that part would of cost me at least 200 bucks. Sometimes Iââ¬â¢m really glad I drive a domestic.
The End
For once it was a happy ending :)
