And for those hoping to get a used price on a new one from that unbalanced ship....
Quote:Fortunately, none were aboard the Cougar Ace, the ship that keeled over with a hold full of Mazda CX-7s and Mazda3s, so expect the first wave of 250 Mazdaspeed3s to start hitting dealerships right about now.

Quote:American buyers have colour choices, including silver, but the first wave of Canadian models will be all red.
Guess Flo won't be going near teh first batch with a ten foot pole. :P
Quote:As if 263 hp isn't enough, Mazda's aftermarket department has already had its measuring tape out, and on hand at the track was one outfitted with a cold air intake and performance exhaust - an extra 30 horses for about US$900. As gnarly as a 300-horse compact sounds, it feels even more nimble than the regular version, and Mazda claims the add-ons don't affect the factory warranty

thats srt4 territory, but i dont understand the 6.1 sec to 60 mph (conservative number??)
i think that wont affect the torques as much though??

either way im gonna be looking to take one out for a spin
I went to Murphy Ford in Pembroke today, and asked when they will have the 2007 Fusion AWD available to look at/drive/buy...the salesmen didn't know at first what I was talking about, and went and asked the right people. They came back with the answer that they will get a black 07 AWD V6 in stock next month, and if I leave my name and number, they will call when it's in.

I'm gonna drive one of those, and maybe go look at the 07 Lincoln MKZ...which has the Duratec 35, 263hp (thinking this is conservative), 249 ft lbs, AWD, and 6spd auto...

Haven't seen any MS3's yet...

only red? gay. when does silver get here dammit.

:D :D
I'll let you know when our dealer gets them.....
This is f***in bulls*** how could they make us pay 8 f***ing thousand dollars more then the US for this car and only give us one colour to choose from.?

I hope that the car critics slam Mazda for thier way of making money off us so they can make up for thier loss in the states. We buy many mazdas here in Canada and we should not be givin the shaft on a great car.

and if you buy this car and pay the 30k sticker price I will call you stupid.

why? Tell me what other car your gonna get this performance from for 30K brand new?
^^i think WRX sti is close to that price....maybe a little bit more
I just hope the performance estimates are really conservative for that cost and advertised horsepower... that's kinda sad, 6.1 seconds to 60 with that much balls.

 A new WRX STI is almost $50K, even the regular WRX is around $37k. Only other cars in this segment (performance hatch) that I can think of off the top of my head are the VW GTI/Acura RSX-S/Mini Cooper S for around the same price point ($30,000).

Yes its retarded how much more we are paying for this car than the Americans, BUT as compared to new vehicle prices in Canada the performance value is top notch IMO.
That's why I never buy new if I can help it... we're anally explored daily by ALL manufacturers because of our willingness to pay well beyond the fair exchange rate for every new car.

Try a lot more.

I think its because they actually limit the torque in 1 and 2nd, then 3rd....all hell brakes lose!!

Exactly...and what do these guys offer? 200hp? under 200 trq....wooptydo
i wanna know the 1/4 mile time and the trap speed on the stock one and on one with the intake and exhaust.

since all of this electronic intervention is controlled by the pcm its only a matter of time before a turner has it set up to run balls out in 1st and 2nd. then all you need is a good set of DR's and you will own all.

i wanna see one run a stock SRT4. cause me know this is way more of a car than that neon.

I did, your upset that we get 1 color, and pay more than the americans. If I missed anything, please point it out to me, because I OBVIOUSLY can't read.

Now....read MY post....tell me what other new car for 30K gets you limited slip, +250Horsies, +250 torque, handling and looks like the MS3???

Your saying this is overpriced? I want to know what cars youve been looking at, cuz if you know of a better deal, hook it up.
1. You know that car will not be 30k

2. I dont know why we should suffer and pay for stuff we dont need..... Example: 6 six speaker stereo and HID's

3. Us Canadians should have the same choices as the Americans do

4. Why do we have to pay 8 grand more for our premium model then the Americans do?

Everything Ive read so far has been saying a starting price of 29-32K, still a great deal if you ask me. Turbo, +250hp, with warranty. Maybe your personal choice would not to have 6 speakers & HID's, but think about it....lots of tuners change their speakers right away and buy HID kits for theyre cars, this way its all done when you leave the dealer lot....with warranty on those items to boot to!! We Canadians should be getting AWD, f*** whatever else the americans are getting :P. And I do agree on your last point....it doesnt make sense that we pay more than the americans, but its still a great deal when you look at the bang for your buck.
I agree with you its a great car, but getting the short end of the stick is not cool in my books.
