there will always be flaming... I don't think I've ever made a decision that wasn't criticized originally...

You could always S/C or Turbo that beast. Probably get better numbers than the stock GT.
Actually getting the non GT is a smart move. Its many thousands of bucks less and you can always buy a crate motor and have it wedge in. How do you feel about a 5.4L Triton engine in there?

03 cobra motors fit nice, sean hyland did one!!!
^^ hahahahaha!!!.. someday.... maybe.
the thing is that people make such a fuss over the GT.. especially the modding community. But what's so special about the GT?
upgraded suspension, axle, brakes, and engine.
what does a modder do to make the GT a better track car?
upgrade the suspension, brakes, and axle, and engine...
about the only thing you don't throw out, is the engine.. so you just spent all that money on something so the typical modder can toss 3/4 of it out.
I'm in no hurry.. the car is currently fun to drive.. if I want more, I can get more, and I'm not tossing out shiny GT parts to do it..
Hey if someone is into auto-x (not DP) and your going to use a Stang the 6 makes more sense than the 8 to me, less weight up front and less weight overall. Kenny Brown has also done some pretty impressive V6 track cars too. To me its GT or bust, but I won't ever flame anyone for getting the 6, they out sell the GT 2:1 IIRC and there probably wouldn't be enough sales of V8's alone to justify the cars existance so really with out the V6 sales there might not even be a Mustang. We (V8-GT owners/lovers) should be thankful for its existance. I understand what makes the GT so special (to me anyways) but for someone like DP who is driving it every day I can see and appreciate his point.
BTW I went for a ride/drive in a friends Procharged 02 V6 over the weekend and its smokin' fast. Sure its got 4:10s and runs @ 11 psi of boost but it will take down a mildly modified GT with ease.
^-- actually, I like auto-x... I may try getting out again next year again...
if I wasn't looking at my budget, i would have went GT.. but considering the circumstances, I picked what I picked, and I don't regret it.
You gonna tell us how much the focus is selling for?

Car looks awesome. Good wheel choice. Vote number 1 million for lowering springs. I'll even put them in. I have spring compressors now..

most likely not this year.. but maybe in the spring if I have a little extra $
it'll be a full kit once again.. springs, struts, sway bars if I do it..
question.. there's talk that an IRS can be bolted up back there... do you know how possible that would be?
Just curious of course..

Could you maybe...and this is just if you have time...
Slip a note in your old glove box with the sentence..
"ppppssstt....I know where you can get a faster, less km's, never winter driven, front mount intercooled, turbo focus for 6g's less"
Could ya?
Those rims look awesome on your car. Definately complete the look of the car.
Wow, those wheels really do set the car off nicely. Damn if I could get in and out of a 05+ Mustang I'd be there (I haven't tried, the prev gen was an utter failure for me <_< )
Maybe on Sunday I can find out if I can do it :P

Less KM? i think puppet drove that car like 5 times since he owned it.
yeah.. the car had 38,000 km on it...
STEVE, Nice choice on the convertable pony. I personally think you made a good choice with not going for the GT. After all, you arent buying a car based on what the FC.Net people think you should buy, your buying it based on what YOU want, and you have a very valid reason considering the payments is almost equal to what you were paying for your zx3, the only difference is this car has 2 less doors, but you hardly have passengers to worry about. Also nice choice on the black mustang wheels.
SOSOSOSOPRO!!!

I meant less on the engine.
