Well as the topic states...

After winning 2nd Place in the Tuner Class in my town, i'm already starting to think of next years show. So this means i have 363 days left to prepare.

I want to know your opinion on Body Kits. I want "NIIIICE" not "RIIIICE"...i want Wow...not WTF? Classy yet Bold and agressive.

I know there isn't too many selections on kits for the ZX5...However the European rear end (bumper) is still my fave.

Any Suggestions, Comments, PRO & Cons....

I have to start planning now....for i'm sure it won't come cheap. Also, i'm come to terms my car will never be jet fast.....however any suggestions on boosting it without robbing banks would also be a great plus...

thanks in advance.
You have a 2005, eh? There's always the F2 RS-replica kit.. You're sort of screwed for euro front bumpers unless you swap the rest of the front end pieces for the 00-04 parts. You really can't go wrong with the euro rear bumper, it really smooths out the rear end.
convert your front end with an 00-04 euro front end with the headlights, fenders, etc. or just go with the F2 kit.
I'd go with the F2 kit for sure. Nice clean look to it. Maybe if you wanna go a lil more out there, the wide body kit would be awesome.
Yeah if you want to win more shows, I'd think you'd want to consider the widebody F2 kits. I dont mind some of the new 05+ bumpers, but I still think the 00-04 style with ST170 headlights, 02-04 euro bumper with a nice lip is such a classy way to go. Just remember that the clean subtle euro look isn't always what car show judges are looking for (ie. over-done body kits, graphics, etc).
F2 wide-body....

do it slim

How much does that F2-RS kit go for? If I do anything else bodywise I think that would be it for my car.

i think its about $800us + fit and paint and about $1000us for the widebody

or somewhere close to that ... but worth every penny

Hrm, I'm not sure the widebody kit would be a good idea for a year round car even though I'm at stock ride height. The regular kit is appealing though to me and should survive a year round use...

Let's see if that "raise" ever comes in, supposed to be retro back to April...

oh oh....the guantlet has been thrown down there...i'm saying by christmas it's on my car....however, you didn't provide a pic for me, so unless you do, this challenge is null and void...
Roush body kit? Apparantly they can be had pretty cheap these days. Check FF.com in the vendor or group buy section. I think there's something about a factory direct deal or something of that nature.

*edit*

Check out ebay for Roush Direct

order it now if you want it by christmas ... consider this your warning from me ;)
lol!
Chris... sorry, i cannot help but feel bad about that! :(

oh and Slim and i talked via MSN, we are working out his setup and he should be steady-ballin in no time! ;)

that pic of th F2 kit doesn't do it justice... wrong offset wheels and not enough drop make it look like an after-thought.
wait till you see what Slim and i are working on... :D

This is why i'm not a big fan of this kit. see the front wheel well, if you look at that body kit...you can see the screws/bolts/fasteners...in the kit...thats sooo ghey.

if it were up to me, it would be smooth and flush...i guess bondo and fiberglass would fill that up...but i wanna buy a kit i paint and install...

there i've vented...

I personally like the look of the kit on this car. if you have to do a little work like fiberglass and sand you would enjoy the kit cause you did the work to make it look that much more personal. At least thats my opinion on that.........and thats all I have to say about that........
you could always go with a suttle kit like that from the Xenon kits, but with the new front end of the 2005+ it might need a little modding done to make it fit to the front end of a 2005 front bumper, most people loved the suttle look of it on my car back in the day when it used to look like this
