with a fast shutter and flash, you can take pics during the day that look like they were taken at night...

Taken from the origional off the cam. Thats 1:45AM
Thats the only time I go out and take photos as to why you never really see to many day time photos from me.
Any way the origional lighting was all from the top

Ahh this is true, I wasn't thinking.

This is also true.
Went to Montreal for the Champcar race. These two pictures sum it up.
Here are some recent pics that I got developed!
Saw your ballon pic Jay, and then just the other day had a balloon flying over my Apt bldg, so I took some shots of it!
These 2 are at my gf's grandparents house in thier backyard.
The statue was the last shot of the roll, so it is a little bit cut off......
Here's a few I've shot lately with my new acquisition, a Panasonic FZ7.

That's a sweet X-Men sidewalk drawing! :)
X-Men (2nd series), Issue #1 - the left side is the rear of the wraparound cover, the Magneto portion is the front cover.

Yeah he was good. I didn't realize he had the comics sitting next to him though.

I can't criticize, I just spent nearly 4 hours at a Lord of the Rings performance.
And my wife wouldn't let me dress up as Aragorn AND made me leave my swords at home.
Anyways, seeing I'm in this thread, I'm no professional photographer (no kidding :P ), but I do have a few pics that I've taken that are my favorites.
I've gotta make an effort to take more pics, I have a Fuji S602 Zoom, not a bad camera (although I've had it a couple of years). It's somewhere between a point-and-shoot and an SLR. At the time I chose it because it had a good balance of features, picture quality, and could accept lenses. I needed a telephoto and a polarized lens for use in the plane.
These two are a little grainier than I would have liked, but I liked the way the lens flare turned out (no, they're not Photoshopped). I took them for the web site I designed for the flight school I belong to. Actually, I took a fair share of the pics on the site. (

Night shots are always interesting to take... too high an ISO and they get grain/noise, too low an ISO and you don't get the light you need or camera shake ruins your efforts.
Nice shots man!
Thanks :)
The pic of the girl is my daughter, 12 at the time, 14 now.
Hence the sword collection.
