Saw a black one Wednesday afternoon around Dundas/403, my reaction: "nice Hyundai oh wait thats that new Lincoln". The Grill is way too over the top, the Ford version may be the better looking one in this case or at least I hope so because I am not a fan of the Lincoln incarnation that is for sure.

When are they being officially launched anyway?
October 2006
probably a test mule... putting kms on them to see whats gonna go wrong

i remember meeting up with some guys and like 5 freestars just before they came out... they were putting stupid amounts of kms on them like driving to windsor and back and 3 times in a day, and then driving random accross country.. i passed them out by dunnville a week after i first encountered them... same vans, same guys... its a group with frs radios, a couple drivers, and an engineer or two, and random ford workers
looks fuikin terrible
i've seen the test mule around hwy 7 and 400 many many times. also saw it once it barrie.

everytime i try taking pics of it the guy just takes off and disapears :)
Ford of Canada released pricing a few days ago ... base MKZ fwd starts at $36k and the AWD is $38k - options include THX sound with navigation, HID and moonroof ... just two wheels (both 17s) and both look sucky.

No pricing yet on the Edge which is kinda strange.
I've seen a couple of the Ford Edge's around the Oakville assembly plant while i was working there. Not a bad looking vehicle.
What's the Edge? And I'll pass on the one above...
The Ford Edge is the ford version of the above pictured Lincoln.

Personally i like the edge more than the MKX
I still can't understand why they dropped the "waterfall" grille for this POS egg crate style. Front end of this thing and the new Nav look like shat.

so the car actually has a sick motor? way to go ford
The Edge looks WAY better. Poor Lincoln owners, at least they're 55+ and working on legal blindness :D

270HP 3.5L Duratec

The MkX has an optional retracting glass roof as well.

Y'know, the near monochromatic colour scheme in the MKZ's interior makes me think of a '70's Lincoln. Is this Ford's way of "Moving Forward"? Swiping from their past (When Lincolns were overweight, overwrought barges?) Gimmie the Edge's interior hands down.

To each their own, however, monochromaticism is a subjective opinion.

Touche, though I guess I'm spoiled by the SES interior which is decidedly not monochromatic (Still has acres of plastic, but at least its multi hued :P)

its crazy how fast things changes.. was 1999 or 2000 i would certainly call that a sick motor.. i think the toyota avalon, camry and rav4 are all packing that much motor these days!!!

Hmmm..... I like a mix of the interiors... leaning more towards the Lincoln for looks/function... I like the lid on the storage area compred to the open one on the ford... i like the more flat dash... not liking the way it has those big vertical vents (they probably move air nice tho) and how it bubbles out into the cabin more... i do like the open compartment by the shifter on the ford because how in the hell do you try to stuff things in a little spring loaded flip up like that... the new explorers have carp like that... looks nice but useless.... kinda like the lower storage shelf on my 05 in front of the shifter... take off and sh*t falls out.... useless

I do like the grills on both, and the tail lights on the MK I hope they light up completely like the MK VIII's did they look cool at night
