It took way too many attempts to score, but they managed. A personal favourite, Neuville, scored the clincher in stoppage time at the end of the match.

But what about the 10-15 minutes previous? You could just about see / hear the Polish fans pooping themselves out there... and not the usual pooping themselves, either. The Polish goalkeeper was a real goalkeeper and deserves kudos for that performance he put on yesterday. It's a shame the rest of his team doesn't play at his level.

I think that sinks Poland out of contention. Too bad.

Ecuador just bombed Costa Rica back to the Stone Age 3-0.

With Ecuador beating Costa Rica 3-0 that puts them ahead of Germany in there group. In other words if there results were to stand today into the knockout round Germany would face England in the 1st round, it's not that I don't think Germany can beat England it will just make for a very tough match.

Second of all it was by far the best game in the world cup so far. Not to mention 2 of the best players on the German team are Polish born but German raised.
