Im really not sure why it isnt. Do you have a CAI? They may be trying to deny warranty based on that.

I'd unplug the battery and reset everything. If it clears, then there shouldnt be a problem.

I always unplug my MAF and start up the car when checking for stuff when my car doesnt start. lol....never had a code for it.

I've never thrown a code either... makes me wonder about the custom tunes..

also a MAF shouldn't cost $400, the MAF itself can be had for under $150 and installed in about 5 minutes...

I have a OBDII reader that can clear the codes. If you can make it to Oakville tonight I can clear it for you.

That said, if you have an unrelated problem, the light will come back on.

Let me know.

OAC_S
has the car run fine since??? if so tell them to go fly a kite and clear the code urself with the battery. do you know anybody that has a OBDII code reader? if so get them to check the code. theres a listing off all the codes here on the site.

Edit--LOL OAC nice timing....
DPFE ;) that bloody thing always finds the most weird times to resurface itself.

I changed my tires once and they were just a bit bigger in size and the check engine light came on. I thought i had something to do with the speedo reading incorrectly, but it was just the bloody DPFE and nothing to do with the tires.

No problem.

The reader was on sale for $150 at Princess Auto a couple months back. Even has a PC interface and snapshot capability.

I could have cleared your code as well with my OBDII reader. I am in Maple.
i'll charge a beer to reset your check engine light for you.

Unplug Positive battery cable
have beer
have one more beer
plug the positive battery cable back on.
Engine code cleared ;)
get an Xcal2. Reads clears codes and you can shut off EGR etc...

win win
