Internet Connection - scoobasteve - 08-09-2005 haha, wow i havent heard a bill clinton joke in 8 years lol Internet Connection - Raine - 08-09-2005 Do you even remember 8 yrs ago Steve? Weren't you in diapers back then? As for internet, avoid Rogers out there.. even if it's available thru Inukshuk... it's unreliable enough in Toronto, never mind say out there.. Did I mention I work for Rogers Cable? :P Internet Connection - scoobasteve - 08-09-2005 haha, i swear we're the same age al. Ted rogers is going to be very dissapointed with you. I actually have never had a problem with my rogers hi-speed. Hands down i prefer it over dsl too. but i do work for Rogers Telecom (formerly sprint canada) Internet Connection - schade - 08-10-2005 i used rogers for 5 years and now that i'm on sympatico highspeed DSL i don't think i'd ever go back .. specially with the stupid download limits that rogers has impossed. DSL has Faster Upload speeds and the download is almost exactly the same, and its $6 cheaper a month .. other than the tech support issues bell has i'm very happy with my DSL Internet Connection - scoobasteve - 08-10-2005 i'm too lazy to configure dsl though... rogers plug and play ability makes me happy no dam with pppoe settings in the routers and such Internet Connection - schade - 08-10-2005 my always-on DSL connection was basically plug and play .. but i didn't setup the mail account as i hear that sympatico email can be quite a pain to use Internet Connection - NefCanuck - 08-10-2005 scoobasteve,Aug 9 2005, 04:46 PM Wrote:i'm too lazy to configure dsl though... rogers plug and play ability makes me happy If you're using XP, no futzing with anything, the one time that "Plug & Pray" actually works without the requisite virgin sacrifice. NefCanuck Internet Connection - Raine - 08-10-2005 There are only two reasons I'm on rogers instead of bell. 1. Employee Discount 2. 5 MB/sec transfers.. More the employee discount.. I was getting Bell @ 4 mb/s for $44.95... I'm paying considerably less for Rogers. Internet Connection - scoobasteve - 08-10-2005 damn, i dont get my emp discount till sometime after october.... looks like i'll have to stick with my sprint discounts for now. Internet Connection - DD1 - 08-10-2005 fawking sprint thats who we got the phone line throuhg so the wife can talk to her mom long distance for free and whamo no talking till sept 21 all your fault Steveo Internet Connection - scoobasteve - 08-10-2005 aw jeeze... bell isnt giving any quicker turn around times... check and see if rogers digital home phone service is avaliable in your area yet... or is brantford cogeco? Internet Connection - DD1 - 08-10-2005 brantfords a hole and its alonely place when the wife and kids are away for a week I dont knwo what to do ecept drink beer and talk to you fawkers Internet Connection - NefCanuck - 08-10-2005 DD1,Aug 9 2005, 07:45 PM Wrote:brantfords a hole and its alonely place when the wife and kids are away for a week I dont knwo what to do ecept drink beer and talk to you fawkers Hey you have the charity casino to go lose your money at if you don't wanna talk to us y'know :P NefCanuck Internet Connection - paolo - 08-10-2005 scoobasteve,Aug 9 2005, 06:45 PM Wrote:damn, i dont get my emp discount till sometime after october.... same here, i cant wait for them to approach me with that offer, im stuck paying $29/mo for 3-mbit dsl, on my crappy bellus line thats too far from the CO. |
