Sorry dude, but it's been my experience in this great land of ours that the most useless people and the whiniest are the ones getting s*** for free / next to free.
I saw it growing up in Toronto, and I see it every day here in North Bay. Folks at the bottom for the most part are happier bitching about life and doing pity-me scenarios than actually improving themselves. Not all, but quite a few. More than half I'd say.
