Also they will have mechanics there that are specialized on certain models, and will have the right expertise and tools to make the job go as smooth as possible. Quite often with independant garages, they might not know what they are doing 100% until they really get into the job. When it comes to newer vehicles, I like to deal with folks who are factory trained to work on them. Older vehicles, give Bob's Garage the work... Dealership mechanics are some of the most half-assed mechanics i've ever dealt with. Some are amazing, while others are lazy. it was hard to believe some of the damage done to my cars by ford. the timing belt isnt that tough on the focus. if you have the help or guidance i'd do it yourself.
