Sealed boxes usually have the best SQ.

Doesn't matter what type of car you have really...just that facing the subs to the back works best 9x out of 10. I tried the Bazooka facing forward in my parents car when I installed it, and it wasn't very loud or deep. Turned it towards the trunklid, and it was a LOT louder, with good extension. I turned the gain down on the tube to reduce distortion/etc, and it blended awesome with the JBL GTO speakers we have in it. I have my 2 10's facing the hatch in my car, and this also is more efficient, and louder. Not only that, Bass shouldn't be directional anyways, NOR is it stereo. With the soundwaves hitting the rear, then reflecting into the cabin, you've got more seamless sound. Well, that's my opinion.

In My 300c i have the box aimed at teh trunk... So much rattle though, i may aim it at the cabin. I'll take the reduced output if i get cleaner sound.

My best sound quality in the sedan ( And Ive moved the sub every witch way) is ti ploint it towards the rear and leave about a foot between the Sub itself and the end of the trunk.
Leave your seats folded down in cargo mode. I never put them up and its worth it.
