1) painted the gauge pod..

and this..

This is what happens when parts don't arrive all at once when I want them... I go A.D.D, and let them sit around the house for 2 years before actually installing...

The Gauge Pod Chronicles - Flofocus - 04-12-2006

heheh, sounds like me. The wifey is still bugging me when Im gonna install my bday present

Good luck with the project! B)

Nice, I liked my pillarpod when I had it....the full pillar pods are sooo much nicer than those half ones that screwed on :P

Decided to cut the AEM Eugo cable or cut a huge hole in the firewall?

Looks good, can't wait to see the pics of the gauges finally in the car.

Did OAC_Sparky guilt you into this finally?

nah, but he did provide meford with the tip on getting properly matched paint that was passed along to me... coupled with a trip to buffalo for a hockey game, an offer of help from meford and the son, hell, it's just too damn convenient NOT too.

Of course, I don't know how 'deep' I'm getting in by asking the favour, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

afternoon? I doubt we will be there in the afternoon. We have to install his guage pod and I anticipate that might take a few hours inbetween beers.
So I would say dinner at St. Louis.

If you want to stop by my house, feel free. Anyone.

33-2880 Headon Forest Drive, Burlington.

I am located just off Walker's Line and Highway 5/Dundas in Burlington. Google it for directions. 905-335-5677 for hot phone sex.

The Gauge Pod Chronicles - nass - 04-15-2006

The Gauge Pod Chronicles - OAC_Sparky - 04-16-2006

A couple of quick tips:

- take the existing a-pillar off and match everything up on the table, don't do it "in car".

- Don't forget to pre-paint the pushpins -- poke a couple of holes in a piece of cardboard and put the pins in there to hold them while you paint - leave them out a smidge to "get around the edge" with the paint.

Optional recommended step - pick up a little tube of paintable construction adhesive (I used Bulldog Grip PL Polyurethane Door, Window and Siding Sealant), carefully run a small bead up inside the pod to stick the two together. This has to be your LAST STEP before final assembly. If you accidentall slop a little you can paint it up.

If I have time today I might try to stop in -- but no promises, I'm building my shed and it depends on my progress.
