If you do Clear them good or the plain paint will become very dirty and stained. But have fun doing it and remember to sand em.

is there specific rims paint i should buy?

i used duplicolour wheel primer, paint and clear. i dont think they make it in white.
But as long as you prep well (sand, good primer) it should be good with any type of paint (krylon, tremclad etc). But make sure you clear coat them after painting. Especially with white as it stains very easily.

Here is my car i did a few months ago. not the best pics but the rims look like they were painted that way from factory

I painted my 17"s and they turned out a lot better than I thought they would.

Make sure you use a high heat primer, I've seen a bunch of rims come into the shop that have been painted and from the heat they went almost like an elephant skin from not using the right primer.

I used dupli-color high heat primer and dupli-color paint.
I never used any clear coat and there fine, but if you want a high gloss look clear coat is the way to go.
I got all the paint from Canadian Tire.

That guy has had them on Kijiji here in Ottawa for over a year now...

Personally, I wouldn't paint the ST wheel white. Too much of a face on it. If it was thinner spokes, then sure.

What colour is your car?

Painting My Stock Rims - GFXjamie - 09-02-2009

out of all honesty, dont paint your wheels white, this is 2009 not 2003 when it was still cool. what colour is your car and maybe you could find a more suitable colour... either way, your car choice brother

get castone to show you a pic of his black zx3, he posted the gold wheels he painted. looks good on a black car. or you could do what most do and do them black, to much contrast with black and white. maybe keep the face of them silver and do within the spokes black to look similar to the s2 rims or the new style machined face wheels everyone seems to be buying. just please for the love of god, dont do white LOL it will be such an eye sore...

even do em some funky colour, look at some of the hondas and vdubs rolling around, mostly hondas but still, green wheels, orange wheels etc. see if theres something that catches ur eye and isnt so plain jane
