3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - Gravter - 08-06-2009 ... is it worth it or would I be missing some back pressure? Also, how would this fit on a stock flex pipe? If not, what is all needed to make it fit? A turbo/surpercharger (if they ever make one for Duratec) is still on my list for the future of my ST, so this would compliment it. I've seen only one picture of this on a Focus and the pipe seems to be on an angle at the back... very ricey look imho. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - Focus man. Focus. - 08-06-2009 I think you would be missing all the back pressure. 3" is a little large for a 2L exhaust system IMO. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - Gravter - 08-06-2009 Focus man, Focus.,Aug 5 2009, 10:55 AM Wrote:I think you would be missing all the back pressure. 3" is a little large for a 2L exhaust system IMO. It's a 2.3L but I get what your saying. I would like a 2.5", but this 3" system is euh, cheaper! Anyone want / need a 3" exhaust? 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - GFXjamie - 08-06-2009 i could use a 3" when i go turbo in the spring, how much?? or trade for a 2.25 focus sport?? lol 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - Oscar The Grouch - 08-06-2009 2.5" MBRP or FS....3" too big unless high boost. 2.25" good only if you don't FI. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - tetra - 08-19-2009 Oscar The Grouch,Aug 5 2009, 02:18 PM Wrote:2.5" MBRP or FS....3" too big unless high boost.ÃÂ 2.25" good only if you don't FI. I have the 2.5" Trubendz kit and I'm loving it.. The only problem with it was a small fitment issue, but that was resolved by simply installing CFM poly-urethane bushings.. As for sound, I got a HFC and resonator on it.. It's still a little loud because of my header but it's got a deeper tone than some other Trubendz kits I've heard.. Good luck in your choice. Trubendz also recommended to use 2.5" if a header was going to be used.. He said 2.25" should be used for a car without much mods at all.. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - sonic_mikey - 08-29-2009 I asked Tom this exact same question and he simply said "a 3' exhaust will out-do the focus returneless fuel system, even with a turbo", now im assuming unless ur gonna build ur block and pull 600hp from it, a 2.5" will be more then enough 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - sonic_mikey - 08-29-2009 forgot, im pretty sure you can fit a stock SVT system on it, which is 2.25" already. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - euro_zx5 - 08-29-2009 sonic_mikey,Aug 28 2009, 07:39 PM Wrote:forgot, im pretty sure you can fit a stock SVT system on it, which is 2.25" already. No it's different, Gravter has a newer (duratec powered) Focus. 05 and up the exhausts are different, not to mention intake and exhaust locations were swapped from the previous Zetec. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - sonic_mikey - 08-29-2009 euro_zx5,Aug 28 2009, 08:23 PM Wrote:sonic_mikey,Aug 28 2009, 07:39 PM Wrote:forgot, im pretty sure you can fit a stock SVT system on it, which is 2.25" already. well thats just bawlz, zetec FTW!!! lmao 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - ZX3_2NV - 08-31-2009 If your planning to go Turbo just go 3" If your planning to supercharger or staying n/a 2.25 or 2.5 will be fine. So think about your long term goals and then go from there but Turbo will deffenetly beneift from a larger exhaust. I made an extra 50 whp between my 2.25 magnaflow cat back and my 3" exhaust dump. 3" Trubendz Exhaust W/hi-flo Cat... - Gravter - 09-01-2009 Well, I let the 3" exhaust go. Someone else bought it that is going turbo. It was only 150$... so he got a good deal on it. I personally would like the MBRP 2.5" system but decided not to put much money into the Focus just yet as I don't know if it gonna be in my yard in 2 years. Thank you all for your input ;) |
