Rev Limiter - ZX3Blake - 06-20-2005

hey, i was just wondering what the rev limiter on the focus is, and when does it start to red line?

Rev Limiter - hardk0re - 06-20-2005

The stock rev limiter is 6800, and redline is 7000.

is it possible for valves to hit pistons when u hit the limiter?

Rev Limiter - skifreak69 - 06-20-2005

The rev limiter just cuts off fuel to the engine.

No. The Focus is a non interference motor.

They make these cars for Grandmas and soccer moms ..... there is no way to make the valves hit the pistons.

Rev Limiter - scoobasteve - 06-21-2005

Except on the SVT. Redline is i believe 7300 rpm, Limiter 7250. people have it safley pulling to 7800 with stock internals.

I hit my rev liimter all the time and it doesn't do a thing to the car

Rev Limiter - NOS2Go4Me - 06-21-2005

Remind me to test that tomorrow with the SPI :D

Rev Limiter - schade - 06-21-2005

break a timing belt and i'm sure you'll see the valves hit the pistons
