Wires are actually not just sitting there loose. There screwed into the seat so there tight and dont move :)
And no... I dont have a trunk and the back seats never go up... its a 2 seater in my eyes lol

I like the direction Pioneer is headed with thier ergonomics. I was looking pretty closely at thier equipment as well before I bought my 9835 to replace my 7998
