Shift Light, No Wiring Required - 2001 ZTS - 04-25-2005

Just browsing a Subaru shop and thought it may interest some seeing it is a universal part and is driven by your cigarette lighter socket:

Obviously a wiring/driver problem. You could use one of these then!

Another universal part, though not a performance mod:

This may help with your camera project?

I been looking at a shift light for the focus when I take it to the track. LOL I didnt think it was a big deal but when you booting the car on the track you just want to keep going then finally the govener kicks in and fuel is shut off and ya, its not good for the car.

Big ass red light popping in my face well that should remind me to shift lol.
Wonder even with a tach if I would need to install a tach driver still.

the stock shift light turns on for maximum fuel efficiency.... but can be reprogrammed to shift higher up.

Don't forget the extra cable that runs to the laptop - "Warning - Danger to manifold!"

yeah... in the case where the car doesn't do it for you, there's an idiot light to remind you early enough that you'll have to shift sooner or later.

Feh, I'll just let my autobox do the rowing for me thanks :P Too busy having fun pushing the little rollerskate through its paces using the steering wheel & the loud pedal

P.S. I can't physically drive a manual anyways so the above reply is in jest, though the autobox does a decent job of responding to my needs... Except with a full load of passengers... then it just can't :(
