Focus Central Cai - Crazirich - 03-25-2005 I just got it in and its time to install, gonna wait for a nice day The pipes look nice however the little aluminum bracket looks really cheesy, i could have done better if you had given me a 1" x 5" piece and drilled the holes myself The rubber boots are the same stuff you would buy to repair a sewar line: a rubber section with two hose calmps, either way i'm not gonna see it I will add pictures soon Focus Central Cai - NOS2Go4Me - 03-25-2005 It looks really... small? Focus Central Cai - dabigmandan - 03-25-2005 NOS2Go4Me,Mar 24 2005, 09:23 PM Wrote:It looks really... small? I agree, aint it supposed to reach the bottom of engine compartment?... at least mine does. Focus Central Cai - Crazirich - 03-25-2005 The MAF goes in between the tubes, and its about 6 inches long Focus Central Cai - guilty - 03-27-2005 The Duratec's in the new models have the intake setup at the front of the car, exhaust towards the rear. The intake pipe doesnt have to be very long since it's already near the front bumper as it is. Focus Central Cai - Chromey - 03-29-2005 This dosent look like a cold Air to me... Looks like a short ram. Focus Central Cai - guilty - 03-29-2005 Chromey,Mar 28 2005, 06:28 PM Wrote:This dosent look like a cold Air to me... Looks like a short ram. In my previous post I said that the intake on the Duratec motors is at the front of the car. The difference between a "cold air intake" and "short ram intake" is that the CAI pipe runs down to the front of the car, down in the bumper. This intake does exactly that, it just doesnt need as much piping to get the filter down there. Focus Central Cai - Chromey - 03-29-2005 Does it sit as low as the Zetecs CAI? Will you need a By-pass? |
