My 1st Recall - Drivesthebeast - 12-15-2004

Well, it's official, my car is no longer a recall virgin...got my first recal notice in the mail last week. It's a recall about possibly having poorly made/defective front coil springs. At least the front springs are now warrantied for 300,000 miles, outside of the regular warranty. That, and Ford said they will pay for both springs, if only one fails, as well as install them, and do a full alignment to the car, all free of charge. Even though it sucks that I got a recall, it's kinda nice to know that Ford is taking full responsibilty for their mistake, plus the warranty carries over to an unlimited number of any future owners (if the car is sold) upto 300,000 miles.

But it's not technically a recall.. just a warranty extension on a certain part.
