Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - 2001 ZTS - 10-31-2004 Here is a super deal for anyone looking to upgrade a standard Focus suspension to SVT specification. With the SVT model being discontinued, we have a supply of new production overrun SVT suspensions. These are brand new, in the box, Focus SVT: struts F/R, springs F/R, bump stops F/R and rear sway bar. This kit is a steal at $259.00 ($US) and the perfect budget upgrade on any non-SVT Focus. Ford retail on these items separately is over $600.00 (US) . Get them while you can, supplies are limited. Would I have any issues? No speculation please. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - tdot-zx3 - 10-31-2004 Damn thats a good deal. To my understanding, only the wagon would have problems with this kit. The sedan and zx3 suspension should be identical. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - Focus Is Art - 10-31-2004 Other than you have to spend time or $ to have it install, I don't see issue here. BTW, who is selling it at that price? Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - 2001 ZTS - 10-31-2004 BAT Inc. I know Chris from CTA is a distributer do think it would be best to go through him or with BAT directly? Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - j3rt - 10-31-2004 Ditto on dan, wagon is the only focus with a different suspension setup and is only the rear shock absorber. It has an eyelet on one end instead of the threaded rod. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - redsvtfocus - 10-31-2004 I'll get a set...a spare one doesnt hurt....and for that price..... let me know..maybe we get a better price at least on shipping and customs... Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - Jays2000ZX3 - 10-31-2004 Rear springs are different too on the Wagon..as we've notice with Vito's car. ;) I think you should get it, that's a steal. If you ever have to replace your stock shocks it would probably cost more for the Monroe ones. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - j3rt - 11-01-2004 I did not know the rear springs were different. are they beefier? Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - DILATED - 11-01-2004 Hey Jay, I know my car with the wagon's springs looked jacked up. Until we cut the springs and everything went back down. Vito :) Will It Fit? It goes more "up" where the spring is meaning the spring is taller..by a lot. If you REALLY wanted to lower the Wagon in the rear you could put a ZX3/sedan spring there. :) But the fronts are the same. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - j3rt - 11-02-2004 well i've got the Apex kit in, and those springs were identical as well as i can remember. Makes sense, carrying groceries and soccer balls would need a different spring. Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - 2001 ZTS - 11-11-2004 I pick up my SVT suspension from CTA on Saturday, worked out to $430 including tax and shipping. Working backwards from $430, by my math $260US=$315CDN + $47 tax + $68 shipping/broker=$430. Good deal on the shipping considering size of the parts, even the smallest item is often $80 with UPS. New question: The 2001 ZTS had a slighter larger sway arm either front or back or both that other sedans (and ZX3's??) did not have. Does anyone know which one(s) it was? Anyone want to make an offer once I do my SVT instal in the spring? If you want to get in touch with Chris: http://ctamotorsports.com/ Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - DRyanC - 11-12-2004 Did you find the SVT kit on cta's website? Or am I blind. Thanks DRyanC Will It Fit? Svt Suspension In Sedan? - 2001 ZTS - 11-12-2004 It is in BAT Inc. catalog, CTA is a distributer for anything BAT sells: http://www.batinc.net/focus.htm |
