Ate Premiumone Brake Rotors - reldridge - 04-04-2009

Does anybody have experience with the ATE PremiumOne rotors? CDN tire has them buy one, get one 50% off right now, which isn't much more than the OEM replacements. Any reviews I have read are very positive, comparing them to Powerslot.

Anybody ran them on a Focus yet?

Thanks!

they're grooved...should act like slotted rotors. although I would think brembo blank/ the one from KVR is better. I think the pads would play more role in stopping the car than the rotors.

Picked them up yesterday. $52 on sale each right now! Cheaper than Brembo blanks, KVR, etc... Hard to go wrong! They were $2 more than the Monroe ones, and $2 more than the Wagner rotors from Partsource.

They'll be going on this coming weekend hopefully...

My bud put them on his Acura and they lasted less than 30k. The originals lasted 95k

You can't compare ATE to KVR.

ATE better, or worse than KVR?

KVR is just a street over from my work...

*edit* Sorry, can't justify $124 a rotor on a daily driver. If I was auto-x, maybe...*/edit*

He drives normal as far as I've seen. He swears he'll never buy them again. Maybe he got a defected pair or maybe you got an exceptional good set?

My dad has those on his cars with premium monroe pads and his stopping power is much better than mine. I have brand new OEM rotors and Wagner Thermoquiet pads.

So, did the install last night. So far, so good! Funny thing is, the calipers are marked Ate as well. :)
