True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - tetra - 03-20-2010 So I ordered one from FSWerks yesterday (convinced them to ship it to me USPS :D ). My sedan came with a 20mm RSB. A few people on FF said that it probably will damage my rear LCA's and that I should re-inforce them. What do you guys think? Is a 4mm increase really that dangerous? Cause then I think about Jamie and his 28mm bar.. lol How long have you had it in Jamie? True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - GFXjamie - 03-20-2010 double post True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - GFXjamie - 03-20-2010 I have had my 28.6mm rsb for about 40k and not problems yet, I have check lca's every month or so and no problems. If you run stiff enough springs you won't have an issue. Also, people tend to have issues with 25+ but like I said, 40k and still strong True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - tetra - 03-20-2010 Awesome Jamie, thanks for confirming buddy :) I think some of the guys over at FF are a little scared lol One guy said after he put on his 24mm RSB he oversteered and destroyed his car in a ditch.. lol wtf was he doing, honestly! BTW did you car have a stock RSB or did you have to buy the hardware? Used stock endlinks? True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - GFXjamie - 03-20-2010 looks like i accidentally double posted off my phone LOL i didnt have a stock RSB so i had to buy the steeda mounting kit and a set of endlinks aswell to put it all on. in total i spent less than 200$ for everything tho True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - tetra - 03-20-2010 Think my stock endlinks will be good enough? Right now they only support a 20mm bar. According to a conversion chart going from 20mm to 24mm is a 107% difference. It is safer to use stiffer springs along with the bigger sway bar , or reinforce the LCA's or both . True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - Focus man. I think I'll be fine :) If Jamie can run a whopping 28.6mm for 40K and have no problems I'll be fine. I just bought some 2010 LCAs for my 2003 ZX5 and they definitely are beefier - however, I'm only going with a 24mm RSB. True Or False: H&r 24mm Rsb - tetra - 03-20-2010 Cool, I am no longer going to worry :) I'll have that HTP cross brace to compensate for the front. Should be good to go. I think 24mm is a good size. It was either that or the 25mm FRPP one. |
