Won't dissolve rust chips, but will attack rust. I personally chipped/scraped a major of the rust off with a chisel. Then soaked in this stuff overnight. Next day, used a little propane torch until the parts dried. What remained were little light colored flakes that came off really well with a wire-brush attachment in a drill. For $10, it's worth it. But for me, there was still allot of elbow grease needed. RE: has anyone tried this..?? - konafocuswrc - 05-31-2011 but then parts has to be off from the car and soak them in container right? RE: has anyone tried this..?? - moon111 - 05-31-2011 The stuff is runny, like water. You could wet it with a brush? I just gave the parts a bath and left them aside rather then really soak them. Depending upon the application, I think there's more of a jell-like product if you're working upside, etc. |
