A note of thanks - NOS2Go4Me - 08-17-2011

This note primarily goes out to Oscar, Kev (especially for parts), Ken, John, Ryan and everyone else for their assistance in getting my ride, Project: Subsonic, up and running properly. It has only taken me just shy of a year to get there, due in no small part to a 3-month downtime on a presumed dead clutch and waiting for my neighbour to do the work.

As of yesterday, major operations to restore fully operational status to the car completed. New-to-me SVT starter (SVT yo!) was installed along with a fresh Gatorback timing belt. The car now pulls wickedly given the mods and age of the motor.

Downside: I've inherited Vince's ricer disease. XD

But... who cares. It sounds decent unless you thrash it over 4000 at WOT. Even then, by the time you notice it, you're already beyond zebra for speed. XD

Seriously, thanks guys for helping me ease back into my Focus-tuning life. It's good to be back.

Adam

Anytime! Lol O wait... Good job guys and good to hear its going good!

"Vince's ricer disease??"

Whatcha talkin about Willis?Dodgy

My car is quiet now ever since I added my middle resonator (alla Fswerks "stealth" exhaust). At full throttle I hear my SC whine more than my exhaust note. A lot more pleasent to drive with hidden stealthy speed rather than making alot of noise just to embarassly keep up with the Toyota Corolla next to you.

Anyway it's good to hear that you brought another maliblu blue focus back to life.

LOL @ Vince - I had to get rid of my resonator. Judging by exhaust flow alone, it was 20-40% phyiscally blocked. It's only really ricey at 3K when cold and 5 and up when warm. If I'm into it over 5 consistently, I'm a) running from "them", b) at the track or c) quickly merging with highway traffic. At cruise RPMs and speeds it's decent.

...Just kidding about the "running" comment. I couldn't make a "getaway" in this thing if I tried. >.<
