Euro locking gas door install? - castone - 12-12-2011 Anyone done this yet? I need to find out what to do with my old air vent tube as the euro one doesn't have a location for it. Here's a pic of the tube I'm talking about(little black one on the left). maybe there's a way to retro fit it some how? RE: Euro locking gas door install? - SL8RZZX3 - 12-13-2011 I had the same problem when I installed my billet fuel door.... I think I just zip tied the hose to the filler neck and left it like that RE: Euro locking gas door install? - castone - 12-13-2011 Thanks for the idea, I might grab a stock one from the wreckers and see if I can chop and remould to work, if not I'll prbably just zip tie it. RE: Euro locking gas door install? - Mystake - 12-14-2011 what's the purpose of that vent?? RE: Euro locking gas door install? - paolo - 12-14-2011 I have the euro locking filler flap on my ZX3, I did not have a spot to connect that hose, so I just zip tied it to the filler neck like everyone else did. It's just a vent hose, when you pour gas into the tank, the air in your tank needs to escape somewhere, otherwise a fill up will take you an awfully long time. RE: Euro locking gas door install? - castone - 12-14-2011 If everyone else is doing it than so shall I Paolo did you take the inner fender liner off to install it? Or is it accessible to work on with out taking it off? RE: Euro locking gas door install? - paolo - 12-15-2011 I do not remember, as it was a long time ago, like 6-8 years ago. |
