Swaybars For An 08 - Canadian ST - 05-10-2008

Ok so this is probablya long shot but does anyone know if there are any swaybars aavalible for the 08's? I wonder if the previous year swaybars fit on the 08's? Anyways I was looking at just replacing the rear with something like the progress 22mm bar.

Thanmks for your help

Not sure if this will help, but I asked that question when I talked to Eibach ... they haven't tested their sway bars on the '07s or '08s, but he said that if the OEM part numbers were the same (ie: the 08 rear sway bar part # = '05 part #) ... then their '05 bar would fit an '08.

My understanding is that the '08 suspension is virtually unchanged from the '05+ ... and it doesn't strike me as logical that they would change the specs on something like the sway bar when the rest of ths suspension is the same.

You might also phone FocusSport - they've already done up an '08 - they'd probably know.

Actually the 06 and up is a new suspension. 2000-2005 is the same. As for swaybars, I believe they are different also.

Ahhh ... if only it were that simple ... Ford actually changed the front suspension (tapered springs) part way through the '05 model year ... so technically the early suspension goes from 00 to early 05, and the later suspension goes from late '05 to '07 - and possibly '08 assuming they made no changes.
