Ford will be hiring up to 500 workers to help Meford, OAC Sparky and Canada SVT build the Edge, due to the popularity of the vehicle. This, and the focus increasing production is good news for Ford.

I'm not so sure about that ... the news report I heard said that they are offering the jobs first to the 700 or so Ford employees on layoff in Windsor - kinda sounds like full time gigs.

Chances of a new hire coming anywhere near the driver's seat of a forklift in the next 10 years would be almost nil.

But you could make forklift sounds and pretend you are one as you pick the parts out of the bins in Trim department, lol.

I heard less than 200 of the Ford Windsor Employees have signed on to transfer.

Kid on my street works at Jiffy Lube so I offered him my app and we'll see what happens.

I have a good friend who just got layed off permanently from the Bramalea plant - just a year ago he was getting OT.

What's this app you're talking about - would getting one give my buddy a leg up? If so, I'd like to get one for him if that's possible.
