Going to Ottawa for Easter. Visiting "The Chef" and going to have Easter dinner at his food joint. Anyone know of a good hotel that's cheap in the Ottawa Nepean area?

Minto Place Suite Hotel, is located downtwon. Not sure where is the Nepean area. we were really impressed with this place. price seemed ok as well considering we went in the summer during rib fest.

Try the parliament building. Rent is cheap as we own it. Sleeping outside is preferrable. Bring your own sleeping bag. Cheques for the needy handed out at 7am daily. Enjoy.

Embassy West and the Travelodge on Carling aren't bad. The Travelodge has an indoor pool, and they are both right off the Queensway (417) at the Carling exit, just past Campbell Ford. You're also as close to Nepean as you can get.

If you want a little nicer, you could try the Monterrey Pines on Prince of Wales. A little more outside of the downtown core, along the Rideau, but right near Hunt Club road.
