09+ Focus Stereo Removal? - 4doorfocus - 01-28-2010
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone here has come across a how to or anything on the stereo removal of a 09+ focus? A friend of mine wants to buy an amp/sub in his 09 but he'll need an inline converter. If the speakers were in the rear hatch I wouldn't have to pull out the stock stereo, but I think that will be the only easy way.
If anyone's got any tips on the removal of the 09+ focus stereo that would be awesome, thanks!

-unclip the shifter/cupholder panel
-remove 2 screws
-remove 2 screws on gauge cluster, remove trim
-unlcip trim panel above glove box
-unclip vent panel
-remove 2 screws
-remove 4 screws holding radio
but there is another way to do..
find wires in rear door seal and test wires for resistance..
or take off door panel and trace speaker wires..

yes i've done 3 so far..not many focus around my work place..
1 was for just sub and amp install, didn't have to take off radio..
another 1 was ipod install through fm modulator, had to take it off..
another 1 was remote starter and alarm combo..
