this is the thread where im gonna update of how things are going with the install for this summer.....

Current:125whp,129TQ
Goal: ~140whp+, ~145TQ

So these are the parts that I have ordered and some parts that I've have for some time and they are gonna get put on as well.

The List:

1.Focus Racing stage 3 camshafts (arrived)
2.Focus Racing springs & retainers (arrived)
3.Focus Power Camshaft adjustable gears (arrived)
4.Toll kit for camshaft gears (arrived)
5.ARP bolts for camshaft gears (arrived)
6.Focus SVT coolent cover (DID NOT arrived)
7.Ford Contour powder coated valve cover (done)
8.Spark plug wire cover (done)
9.Magnaflow high flow catalytic converter (welded into flex pipe)
10.Xcalibrator2 (arrived)
11.Napa timing belt (arrived)
12.WP Racing dyno tunning (next weekend)

Has your water pump been done lately? I think its recommended with timing belt changes.

those horizontal lines on the spark plug cover are gonna be black as well.....i told the guy to fix it up :)

so i got all the stuff today in the mail or at least i thought so........still have some quastions about the cams that i got because it does not say Ford on them at all.....so i was like ok.......then i start diggin in the box a lil better and at the bottom i find this paper that gives me info about the camshafts

oh by the way he forgot to send me my svt coolent cover......like wtf....its not like i spent $100 over there....yet i still get the longest time on shipping , get the wrong stuff and not all of it

Allot of parts that ford sells as their own aren't made by them. For example their lowering springs are rebranded eibach, their shifters were same as steeda, unless it came on another car stock its a re-branded 3rd party ventor product.

This may be the same as the cams, crane is a popular maker and perhaps ford gave them the specs or they simply took crane stage3 cams for the focus and sell them as FR.

I'd ask around on the jet, a few guys have the FR cams and maybe they can confirm.

ok....so i got everything sorted out
Crane=Ford Racing blah....

by the way these are the cam specs on that paper....tell me if it sounds right to ya

Opens: Closes: Advertised Duration:
13.0 BTDC 47.0 ABDC 240.0
52.0 BBDC 4.0 ATDC 236.0

So i'd love to get this done next saturday....show up there in the morning and stay all day....:)

oh and its really hard to get a hold of that guy....emails and phone don't really work for him haha

he works full time, thats why hes hard to get in touch with. he also just moved the dyno because the shop he had it in closed down.

last i heard he is looking for a new shop for his dyno because ROTAN or whatever it is went under. do you still have his number? if not PM me and ill give it to you again. another option would be to do it at the BBQ. im sure there will be more then enough ppl there that can/will help.
