Simple Question, Hopefully A Simple Answer - Feral - 11-07-2009 here it goes whats the point of different ECU Codes... I have 2 Wagons ( one is wrecked one is a project) both have different ECU's yet the one out of my wrecked focus works fine on my project breakdown of the cars 01 Ford Focus SE Wagon (wrecked) -2.0 Zetec Automatic -Driver/Passenger Airbags ( Both Deployed ) -NO ABS -Power Windows, Power Locks, Central locking 01 Ford Focus SE Wagon (Project) -2.0 Zetec Automatic -Driver/Passenger + Side Impact -ABS -Manual Windows, Power Locks, Central locking but missing all remotes) I threw the ECU from the wrecked focus into the Project Focus swapped out the ignitions and she fired right up, I flew down the road with the ECU with the wrecked focus and slammed the brakes on and the ABS kicked in (the Wrecked focus did NOT have ABS) Whats even MORE funny ( this is where I'm clueless) the check engine for all the supplemental restraint codes disappeared ( Missing Bags/Deployed bags/Error on impact sensors ETC ??.. O.o the check engine turned off but the Airbag light stayed on ( the Control Module wasn't installed ) |
