Help! - Mike Rudat - 12-15-2006

I was replacing the fuel injectors on my Gf's car and in the process I snapped part of the fuel delivery part (at the left of the rail where it connects).

I need to either know what this part is or if anyone knows where any local scrap yards are that would have focuses. It is a simple part to remove and small in size I just have to watch my handling on small plastic parts, they always break on me.

I would like to find a Yard to grab the part because I know its gonna be a lot more at the dealer, If they even have one.

Let me know any locations asap, or if you have any scrap parts lying around and have one that would be great.

Thanks

Mike

Ya man I have no idea what your talking about, I think you'll need a picture. If you know the exact name of the part then phone some scrap yards, they'll let you know if they have any.

Haha I know trust me it sucks, I don't have that soft of a touch and EVERYTHING is made out of thin plastic.

I will snap a picture in the morning of the part.

Any locations on scrap yards?

i used to know a scrap yard where for 100$ they gave u a hood and whatever u could fit on that hood or in your hands was yours.
prob was u had to drag it out(hence the hood)

people used to tear motors out and drag them on there hoods

good times

Help! - Mike Rudat - 12-15-2006

I can just picture the people draging whole motors on the hoods through dirt and what not. Hi-larious.

Standard Auto Wrecker still has that. 45$ all you can carry, but i guess they have changed the rules, you can not drag anything on the floor and u must be able to walk with them for about 20-30Ft accros the line. No ropes are allowed either.

They usually do it 4 times a year

Mike try calling the dealership, you never know how much it might be. Maybe it will be faster and easier.

Help! - Flofocus - 12-16-2006

pretty sure I have that part. I'll have to check when im at home.

PM me if you dont find one, and I'll check my boxes of junk tonight.

Help! - Mike Rudat - 12-16-2006

I just got back from MegaCity and I was sooooo close to getting it. I found the part but the car was sold and the other one I found was broken the exact same way.

Flofocus I sent you a PM

Guess I'll try the dealer if Flo doesn't have one.

Help! - Mike Rudat - 12-17-2006

Anyone know the name of that part?

Help! - Burnin21 - 12-18-2006

I dont know the name but if you go to the dealership to the parts section and get the parts guy to pull it up on his screen i'm sure he can tell you what the name of the part is and how much it will cost.
