Ford S-MAX voted Car of the Year 2007

Brentwood, Essex, England - The all-new Ford S-MAX has been named Car of the Year 2007, an international award judged by a panel of 58 journalists from 22 European countries. It is organized by a group of seven leading publications from Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Holland, France, Germany and Sweden.
The winner was named from eight finalists, shortlisted from 41 contenders. The S-MAX was declared over the Citroën C4 Picasso, Fiat Grande Punto, Honda Civic, Vauxhall Corsa, Peugeot 207, Skoda Roomster and Volvo C30.
The S-MAX has sold over 4,000 units in the U.K. since its launch in June; over 50 per cent are being sold in top-of-the-line trim. Ford also reports than over 50 per cent of buyers are new to Ford.
The 2007 award marks Ford of Europe's fifth Car of the Year win; the company has also collected the award for the Ford Focus, Mondeo, Scorpio and Escort.

That S-Max looks like a more Masculine version of the Mazda5....if you can call a Minivan/Crossover Masculine...lol
Still, nice overall package, and they should have brought that car to NA since they brought the Mazda5, which to me, is the same vehicle...

If you acutally watched the Top Gear video you would have clearly hear " the Ford S-Max has the same engine, drive train, Alloys, and suspention as the Ford Focus ST "
plus this thing came out earlier then the Mazda speed 3.
