I have Microsoft Streets and Maps with GPS on my laptop (too cumbersome to use everyday) and it's speedometer function seems to be amazingly accurate - although there is a bit of a lag when accelerating. Which is what you would get with that speedo thing anyways. GPS isn't perfect technology...
