Looking For A Screen - focusnme - 07-27-2006 hey - anyone know what flat fixed unit - touchscreen w/gps will fit in a 2003 focus (ztw) i dont want the flip out screen system as i want it to look stock(ish) post links and $$$$$$$ if you know Looking For A Screen - scoobasteve - 07-27-2006 Check on ebay for an eclipse AVN 5435. It's a nice unit. Double DIN http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ECLIPSE-NAV...009953388QQrdZ1 It will require a tad of custom work to make it fit. the focus has 1 3/4 din. where the eclipse unit is double din. But a unit such as this one usually would require a reputable shop to install it. so the custom work shouldnt be a problem Looking For A Screen - focusnme - 07-29-2006 alot of work - any other screens - come on people i need INPUT!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking For A Screen - Blackzx3 - 07-30-2006 If you don't want to do double din, and modify the dash a little then you have to go with a flip out. The only ones I know of that are not flip out are the eclipse, panasonic, and jvc, but don't know if the last two have gps and all those are double din. Anyways if your seriously looking at any of those it is at least $1000 + so what is a little more to have it installed properly, or to take the time and install it yourself properly. Looking For A Screen - focusnme - 07-31-2006 can you send me the links for the panasonic and jvc as well thanks anyone on this forum do this kind of install and/or custom work???? Running all the wires for the radio would be tough though. I believe burnin21's cousin has a shop in burlington that does alot of custom work... i think its called Lethal Motorsports. i'd pm him for more details |
