You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - darkpuppet - 05-29-2006 I know a lot of people complain about the recalls on the focus, and how it's the most recalled car ever (it's not)... Consider how much happier you would have been if you spent the extra money on a BMW X5... 2000 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 00V010000 - Get Details Recall Date: JAN 18, 2000 Component: STEERING:WHEEL AND HANDLE BAR Potential Units Affected: 190 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 02V194000 - Get Details Recall Date: JUL 24, 2002 Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES Potential Units Affected: 34860 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 01V195000 - Get Details Recall Date: JUN 14, 2001 Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS Potential Units Affected: 13721 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 01V196000 - Get Details Recall Date: JUN 14, 2001 Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:PARK/NEUTRAL START SWITCH Potential Units Affected: 14300 2001 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 01V030000 - Get Details Recall Date: FEB 06, 2001 Component: STEERING:LINKAGES:KNUCKLE:SPINDLE:ARM Potential Units Affected: 13791 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 01V173000 - Get Details Recall Date: MAY 24, 2001 Component: STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:PUMP Potential Units Affected: 47 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 00V341000 - Get Details Recall Date: OCT 24, 2000 Component: STEERING:LINKAGES:ROD:RELAY:CONNECTING Potential Units Affected: 2643 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 00V261000 - Get Details Recall Date: SEP 11, 2000 Component: SEAT BELTS:FRONT:ANCHORAGE Potential Units Affected: 490 2002 Recall Date: JAN 09, 2003 Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS Potential Units Affected: 84000 2003 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 03V197000 - Get Details Recall Date: MAY 27, 2003 Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS Potential Units Affected: 357 2004 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 04V402000 - Get Details Recall Date: AUG 13, 2004 Component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP Potential Units Affected: 297 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 04V409000 - Get Details Recall Date: AUG 18, 2004 Component: POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/LINKAGE Potential Units Affected: 358 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 04V344000 - Get Details Recall Date: JUL 14, 2004 Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM) Potential Units Affected: 4102 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 03V475000 - Get Details Recall Date: NOV 14, 2003 Component: POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DIFFERENTIAL UNIT Potential Units Affected: 350 2005 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 05V367000 - Get Details Recall Date: AUG 26, 2005 Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS Potential Units Affected: 165 NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 05V504000 - Get Details Recall Date: NOV 01, 2005 Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Potential Units Affected: 240 You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - mo_focus - 05-29-2006 hehe, yeah Old 5 series are even worse then the X5. The only thing with bimmer, they keep ppl happy once they know there is a problem. Unlike Ford that doesnt give a s*** about customer service. You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - naz - 05-29-2006 free scheduled maintenance for the first 50,000miles including wear items. i wouldn't sweat it i would just drop it off, say 'y0 fix my sh!t please, gimme a sweet loaner' and be on my merry way. and it would get to say 'i drive a bmw' and impress the 99.9% of the rest of the world that does not care how MaDD TitE Jdm my ride is You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - Frost__2001 - 05-29-2006 lol I can't wait to see anthony's responce to this one lol... You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - ANTHONYD - 05-29-2006 I agree, holy recalls batman! However, I'm not as pissed at all the recalls that plagued the Focus. I'm pissed at all the other things. Year old parts crapping out for no reason with no warning. Twice, threetimes, in some cases seven (rear bearings DPFE.) Constantly having the NEW car in for this and that etc...I gtta give it to Ford on this one though, when there is a recall, they call you to make sure you've had it done. The also ask you if there is anything else you'll neet etc... Decent service from my experiences. Discovery Ford take spretty good care of me. I always liked BMW's... However, those cars are like stray dogs, cute but still can't trust them. You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - PerfectSaiyan - 05-30-2006 looks like they are NOT the ultimate driving machine! I keed I keed. I havent had any problems with my Focus, so I have been really happy with it. except for the usual fuel pump change, and the dpfe recall thats all I have had to work on. You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - S2 - 05-30-2006 I'd still buy one in a faction of a heartbeat over my focus anyday of the year................. You Thought The Focus Had A Lot Of Recalls. - FocusGuy7476 - 05-30-2006 BMWs are looked down on in Germany. |
