does anyone know the top speed on the stock focus, i was wondering. my friend said it was around 175km/h, is this true and can u get rid of the limiter with a new chip?

Yes a chip will get rid of the limiter. But why do you want to go that fast? Even with the speed limiter removed your not going to be outrunning anybody in a focus :P

The fastest I was able to push it was 182 KM/hr, then the governer kicked in.

i thought i heard somewhere that it is limited to 178km/h because the tires are not rated to go any faster :o

I went to about 230 recently but my speedo doesn't get that far.. im just guessing from where the needle was and how i was still pulling after ;) til i ran out of gears

never reached more than 209 i think when i had chip and exhaust..

of course these were just a dream, never really happened

Haha, No way... that was the same stretch i hit 235 km/h on... i was driving home from niagara falls at 430 am. and some riced out honda blows by me at like 220... so i decided to catch up. :lol:
