Wireing My Sub To Amp
#1
The Sub Dosent sound that Great... Its in a SVT Box.
Whats the Best way to wire for best sound?

These are my Specs on the Sub.

8” XSITE NATURAL SOUND SUBWOOFER
• 30 OZ. STRONTIUM MAGNET
• POWER HANDLING: 150 WATTS R.M.S.
• FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 30 HZ – 1 KHZ
• EFFICIENCY: 89 DB
• 1.5” BLACK ALUMINUM VOICE COIL former
• PHAT FOAM SURROUND

As of Right now I have the wireing like this.

+ to +, - to -.

The Amp is a Rockford M351, Specs are.

175 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
350 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
requires 8-gauge power and ground leads wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
selectable 50-250 Hz variable low-pass crossover, 24 dB per octave
TRANSana circuit designs keep voltages low and signal paths simple in the pre-amp section, for minimum distortion and maximum musicality
MEHSA provides more efficient transfer of heat from MOSFET output devices to the heatsink for cooler operation
TOPAZ noise-killing differential inputs that eliminate 80% of ground loop noise
NOMAD advanced protection circuitry for "intelligent" shutdown protection
preamp-level inputs
preamp outputs (for passing signal to another amplifier)
wired remote Punch Bass boost (0-18 dB at 45 Hz)

You have it right, postive to positive and neg to neg, how are your gains set? Is the SVT box large enough for this sub? (should be 8's are usually less finiky than 10 and 12's) What is crossover set at with an 8 inch some may go as high as 100hz, what type of deck are you running it from? Overall its sounds wired right and you have everything you need, sounds like it needs to be tuned.
