So i just found about the gauge sweep in the test mode displayed on the trip meter on focushacks...tried it on my focus today n the gauges tried sweeping backwards!:S like tried sweeping towards the 0 n below!! dunno y its doing that :S....n i read it that if it doesnt sweep properly...instrument cluster needs to be changed, but ive noticed nothing wrong in the gauges or anything really...so I dont know y my gauges try sweeping downwards towards the 0 and below...and is it of any concern since my cluster seems to be working perfectly...?

If the gauges are working properly otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Those hacks are pretty old, so depending on your year of car, the end results could be somewhat different than the original hack states.

i saw this happen in his car, it's actually kinda odd. the needles tap the bottom of the gauge cluster as if they were testing how far down they can go.
