How the hell can a vehicle that consumes 5,000lbs of material to make and has the fuel efficiency of a regular gas-powered car be considered the most green?

I have lost all respect for the current environmental movement -- anyone who follows this line of thinking is an absolute idiot -- or an incredible hypocrit.

And if you're going to vote on a green car, you may want to pick more objective means of judging than by the current panel of 'environmentalists'....

I too like green cars.... I've had a green Escort and a green Aerostar Sport :P
I think what the criteria probably entails is the entire process, from manufacture to disposal, including costs.

I think one method of reducing green house gases would be getting rid of KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Pizza, etc... in the states. That way they wouldn't need these over sized vehicles and at the same time they could reduce the waste.

I wonder how much Gm paid to win that title... maybe it's a cover-up for their other nasty gas guzzlers (Hummers, etc...) that are getting away with murder on the road.
