As for looks, I remember how everyone thought the last touchup of the Focus looked like s*** and many vowed to never buy a Ford again.  Just a note: if you're exposed to the odour of s*** everyday you tend to get used to it.

A well equiped SES lists for less than $20,000.  I predict Ford will sell a s***load of these entrylevel vehicles.  :P

Isn't the idea for Ford to sell a lot of these?
For all of us, including me, who aren't impressed by the looks, perhaps a trip to the custom body shop to "fix" the look would be in order, if we could afford one
Although I probably know the answer to this, I'll ask it anyhow. If someone buys an 08, and joins the "group" here, do we welcome them with open arms?

Of course we would ;) (Mind you I was the first? guy with an '05 to join the board here at the time in April '05 and I do seem to recall a few "old man car" comments (said in jest of course)

I prefer the 05-07 sedans over the new ones, better interior in the 08s or not.

The rear just screams "Escort" and not the good ones, either ;)

We just got our first one in at the dealership, and I must say it looks better than in the pictures. I would take my 03 anyday of the week over the new one, but theres something about it I actually like. Dont ask me what because I cant put my finger on it yet. I also really like the interior. And I dont like the fronts without foglights.

I think the coupes will look a lot better, I will see one next week I think.

I agree. They had two red ones at Ford Headquarters this morning, and the coupe looked better.

Anyone notice the 15" rims look familiar, all the way back to the 00 model?
