Under Drive Pulley Decisions
#1
I want to add a UDP to my 2000 zx3.
I was ready to buy the Focus Central kit but have learned they are discontinued and can't be found anywhere (I tried).

What other UDP options should I be looking at?
I noticed that most are single pulley systems, and some require different sized belts.

Looking for feedback..

I have the AF/x UDP. Didnt really notice any extra power, but the car seemed more responsive. Good little mod for the price, mine was $75 used.

I have a Focus Central 3 piece UDP yet to install. I have heard that the 1 piece UDP's on the market really do not offer much of an increase in power. Upon instalation of these in the spring I can better give my opinion on the 3 piece kit.

I have the Unorthodox Racing UDP and I can say when I installed it I felt a definite difference in throttle respone. The engine seemed more peppy, it would rev up a bit quicker. Rumor has it UDP's "free up" horsepower. :)

They also UNDER DRIVE your accesories...caving in your water pump early, burning out your alternator sooner, and making your A/C compressor not work 100% either...So I'm told...

ran my UDP for 117 000km, still on original alternator, and the water pump was changed at 100 000km when we did the timing belt. No issues whatsoever.
