Is there a safe method of removing carbon from inside the header?

My dad has some wire brushes that hook onto your standard drill, but they have a twisted wire shaft bout a foot long with wire brushes at the end.

Yeah i was just wondering. Maybe like a chemical dip or something to break up the carbon or something.

Fine, if you don't want to put power to clean it, just use some Kleen-Flo parts cleaner.
